Piking

It won't be long now before Piper is crawling... as of yesterday, she is piking (lifting her bottom straight up while on her tummy)! All she needs now is to figure out how to get those knees underneath her!

Cheerios

Piper had her first Cheerios yesterday and managed very well. Today she enjoyed some crackers. She is getting so big (18.5 lbs) and she is sitting up for 10-15 minutes at a time without falling over... choosing when she wants to roll onto her tummy to get something. She is trying hard to get up onto her knees but can only get her upper body pushed up at the moment. And her babbling has taken on a life of it's own bringing giggles to all of us. What a joy. :)

Pictures to come soon...

Mother's Day... first time with THREE!

Happy Mother's Day! (A little belated.)

I have to say, this was probably the best Mother's Day yet... I woke up to homemade gifts, cards and German apple pancakes. :) Then I had a nap at the park while Sean played with the girls. Lunch was picnic style on the grass and then we went down to the sand where I watched Dillen splash in the waves with Sean while Roxy played at my feet and I held sweet little Piper. Later we went for a sushi dinner and then back to the park. It was an amazing day and spent just the way I wanted - with my awesome kids and incredible husband. :D

Add "Dada" to the list!

Piper said "Dada" today for the first time but, go figure, she said it to Roxy who was pushing her in the swing. Roxy screamed out to her with a giggle, "I'm not Daddy!!!" So funny. It seems crazy to me that Piper has four words already and she just turned seven months today. Every time she says one of her words it stops me in my tracks.

Mama, Hi, This!

Yep. That's Piper's new vocabulary. At 6 months old, and starting last week, Piper has been saying "Mama" (her first word! heh), "Hi" (when you enter the room and she looks at you), and "This!" when she is holding something. I am trying to get her to day "Dada" but whenever I say it and she looks at Sean she just says "Phblibbbbt!!!" I think she is seriously trying to catch up to her big sisters. In addition to her words, she is sitting up, rolling over both ways and scootching around... no crawling or walking, yet. ;)

Oh. And she bites.
