Catching up
Well, Piper is AMAZING. I definitely think we are still in the "babymoon" phase of life but man is she a wonderful little baby. She coos, chit-chats and grunts 23/7 which keeps me up at night but I love it. She sleeps through most of her conversations and sometimes I feel like if I could speak "baby" I would be cracking up at some of the things she is saying.
Sean and I can't get over the love that pours out of both Dillen and Roxy for their littlest sister. There has been no signs of jealousy - truly just love. Roxy especially wants to hold her, help me with her clothes and sing to her. Dillen feels so proud to be the one who named her and that Piper looks JUST like Dillen did when Dillen was born. She is my trustworthy daughter whom I can leave Piper with and walk out of the room - knowing she will be holding her close and not dropping her for anything.
Recovery is still slow - I imagine because I had the additional procedure done. But we ventured out as a family of FIVE on Wednesday for the first time. (Not sure how long I am going to capitalize 'five.' It still seems significant enough to do so.) While Dillen was at school, Sean and I took Roxy and Piper to Starbucks (for me), then to the library, then to gym class, then to the UPS store and then home. Sean picked up Dillen from school and we all took her to karate and then went to dinner. It was a deep sigh of relief successful day. Since then, I have been out of the house at least once a day with 1-3 of the girls and I haven't had any troubles yet. I am still moving slowly and needing help - which I have been very lucky to have. Friends and family have really stepped up to help out which has been so appreciated.
I have uploaded SOME pictures from the hospital. I have to say, it is difficult choosing which ones to upload when you have an amazing photographer for a husband. ;)
