Dillen has been so excited to welcome Piper into our home. Roxy is excited, too, but I think Dillen "gets it" a little differently. She lifts my shirt daily to give her a kiss - always asking where her face is, first. And she talks to her through my belly. She asks how I am feeling and assures me Piper will be with us soon when I say I am in a little bit of pain. She tells me how much she can't wait to hold her and sing songs to her.

The other day, a good friend came over with her newborn baby boy, Charlton. Dillen really wanted to hold him. After seeing how loving she was with him and how excited she was to play "big sis," I am fairly confident she will enjoy playing her lifetime role of loving big sister to little Piper Ann.
