We recently signed Dillen to a talent agency. We'll see where it goes. She's such a ham for anyone who will watch her. I have no idea where she gets that from. (No comments from the Peanut Gallery.) It sure would be nice if she finds enjoyment in it - and it makes her enough money to pay for college or to put a down payment on her house someday! ;0)

It seems we have been off and on sick since just before Christmas - which seems like 6 months ago. Dillen and Roxy have been going back and forth with something and just when we think we are almost in the clear - wham - we get hit with another bout of runny noses, hacking coughs and puking from all of the phlegm. Last night was the worst. Roxy threw up three times from all of the congestion/phlegm. Her gag reflex was in high gear and I think by the 3rd time she was throwing up because she was mentally triggering it. The whole family was up around 1 - Dillen went back to sleep around 2. I was up with Roxy until 4 when she finally crashed. I've already taken them to the doctors twice and the pediatrician's answer to my question "When are they going to get better?" was "spring."
That's just not funny.
Liz, Dillen and Roxy's cousin, gave her old-style school desk to them about a week ago. Besides the fact that it will look very cool in their bedroom, it will be perfect for reading, homework, coloring, etc. It was a very well used desk and in need of a bit of TLC so I started today with the first two coats of primer on the wood and painted the metal white. I have plans to paint the wood a light pink and then do some hand painting/stenciling... not sure what yet - probably either flowers or something with a princess theme. Dillen has asked for a princess themed room. What a surprise.

One thing I love doing with Dillen is pulling out all of the crayons, paints, paper, scissors, etc. and letting her just go at it. She is proving, in my unbiased mother's eyes, to be a very good little artist.

Dillen's 4th birthday is coming up (yikes!) and I made a card to send into Sprout TV in hopes that Kevin will read it on television. Fingers crossed... look out for it on March 12th! :0)
Liz, Dillen and Roxy's cousin, stayed overnight at our house on Friday night. Dillen was SO excited! She even slept in her bedroom the entire night because Liz was there with her. We had pizza, watched a movie and had popcorn, stayed up late and then went out to breakfast the next morning... so much fun.
Before the girls got sick (Roxy, poor thing, got sick again last night!), we had fun in our backyard with some good old-fashioned messy finger painting! I was also inspired by a friend of a friend to take the girls on a "nature walk" (in our back yard) and collect leaves, flowers, etc. for a collage. I will upload those later. And my niece stayed overnight with us on Friday night. Dillen and Roxy had a blast with her and I will share those pics soon, too (still on the other camera).
